What you pay for
- A seat is a licensed member mailbox in your Microsoft 365 directory, meaning the people who send mail.
- Shared, resource and group mailboxes are free: they're unlicensed, so they never count towards seats, even though they still get a signature. That includes sending as a Microsoft 365 Group or a distribution list.
- Guests and disabled accounts don't count.
Your seat count is read from your directory automatically, so you're only ever billed for the mailboxes you actually have. The count goes up and down with your organisation, with no manual seat management.
Worked examples
£0.70 per licensed mailbox per month, so the bill is your seat count times £0.70. No tiers, no minimum. All figures exclude VAT.

How am I billed?
Monthly, in arrears, for the licensed mailboxes counted in your directory that month. There is no annual contract and you can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the billing period.
What happens when the trial ends?
Add a card before day 14 to continue without interruption. If you don’t, signatures stop being applied and nothing is charged.
Do shared mailboxes cost anything?
No. Shared, resource and group mailboxes are unlicensed in Microsoft 365, so they never count as seats, even though they still get a signature.
Do prices include VAT?
No. Every Sigil price is quoted excluding VAT, including the worked examples above.
Can I pay by invoice, or get volume pricing?
